We are proud to present the 2019 International Conference on Art Therapy – Harmony in Diversity, co-hosted by The Narrative Drawing Intervention Research & Training Centre, Bridging Hope Charity Foundation, and Central Academy of Fine Arts, supported by The National Alliance of Psychological Aid at the Institute of Psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences ( NAPA-IPCAS ) and
Zhongkeboai Institute of Psychological Medicine, to be held on 1 – 3 November 2019 at Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, China.

The aim of the conference is to provide an interactive platform for the integration of cultures and talents. By combining colours, cultures and love, art therapists from all around the world will present their unique wisdoms and therapeutic skills at the event. Chinese art has inherited its essence from over 5,000 years of Chinese history. Combining it with Western multiculturalism, flexibility and therapeutic effectiveness of art therapy, localized and innovative art intervention tools can be developed on an extensive scale. It is our biggest goal to benefit people all around the world under such massive multicultural sparks!

We are very honored to be inviting world-renown art therapy experts from over 20 countries to be keynote speakers, presenters and workshop trainers at the conference. This includes experts from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Italy, Jordan, Turkey, Israel, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Lebanon, Thailand, The Philippines etc. Following the spirits of the previous conferences, namely ‘Water – the highest virtue上善若水’and ‘love knows no boundaries 大愛無疆’, the conference promotes the spirit of ‘peace, inclusiveness and sharing’, and strive to provide professional care and help to those in need.

This Conference appeals not only to art therapists and psychotherapists, but also to other helping professionals, teachers and parents. As a continuation of our 2016 International Conference, this conference will emphasize on drawing awareness, professional knowledge and diverse practical skills to benefit those who have experienced trauma and those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

We are pleased to organize such a valuable event for a good cause. Surplus of the conference will be utilized for charitable purposes to support volunteer work in China, Hong Kong and other South East Asian countries.

With your generous support, we will be encouraged to continue serving more people in need through the development of effective art therapy tools, which will facilitate the ideal establishment of ‘art therapy without borders’.

Best regards,

Dr. Monica Wong
